Before I met Mardol, I felt completely overwhelmed trying to advocate for myself at work. I have a disability that affects both my physical and cognitive functioning, and I knew I needed ADA accommodations—but I had no idea where to begin. I was scared to speak up, afraid of retaliation, and honestly, unsure if my voice would even matter.
Mardol changed all of that.
She not only helped me understand my legal rights under the ADA but also gave me the language, tools, and confidence to advocate for myself professionally. She worked with me to identify exactly what accommodations I needed to succeed in my role and then supported me in preparing a formal, well-documented request to my employer. When the time came, Mardol even joined me in a meeting with HR—not as a confrontational force, but as a professional advocate who clearly explained my needs in a respectful, solution-focused way.
Her presence shifted the entire tone of the conversation. What I expected to be defensive and uncomfortable became collaborative. My employer not only agreed to my accommodations, but they also actually thanked me for the way it was presented.
With Mardol’s help, I now have what I need to do my job well—and more importantly, I feel empowered. I’ve learned how to advocate for myself with clarity and professionalism, and that’s something I will carry for the rest of my life.
If you’re in Ohio or anywhere else, and you're facing a workplace barrier and don’t know what to do—call Mardol. She doesn’t just show up; she stands with you.

I’ve known Mardol as a friend for years, but I didn’t realize the force she truly is until I found myself buried in confusion during my apprenticeship.
I was struggling to understand all the contract language, union rules, reporting requirements, it felt like a maze designed to trip me up. There were deadlines, policies, and legal jargon I didn’t know how to navigate, and I was genuinely worried that I might lose my standing in the program. That’s when I turned to Mardol, not just as a friend, but as someone who understands systems and people like no one else I know.
Mardol sat down with me, translated the overwhelming legal and policy language into plain English, and helped me get completely organized. She explained my rights, responsibilities, and what questions I should be asking. When I had to communicate concerns to my reps, she coached me through it, respectful, clear, professional, and firm. She even helped me draft emails and set up a plan to stay on top of my progress.
To be honest, I didn’t expect the level of intensity and care she brought to the table. Watching Mardol advocate is like watching someone light up with purpose—because she cares that much. She’s not just helping you navigate systems; she’s standing with you and making sure you're seen in them.
Thanks to her, I stayed on track, and I’m now set to graduate to Journeyman. I didn’t just survive the process—I came through it stronger and more confident, and I owe that to her guidance.
If you’re in the trades and struggling to find your footing, don’t try to do it alone. Call Mardol. She’s the real deal.

When our friend a proud LGBTQ+ individual—was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we were lost. We met with Mardol to discuss his final wishes, expecting paperwork. What we got was so much more.
She had a plan not just for his end-of-life care, but to help him live until the very end. She organized a “living funeral,” bringing in her photographer friend and helping us plan a beautiful gathering where he could celebrate his life with everyone he loved. Because he chose cremation, this was our chance to say goodbye with him present.
She also helped him legally change his name and his gender marker, so he could feel comfortable in his own skin.
Mardol handled everything: legal documents, hospice coordination, emotional support, and advocacy. She was with him until the end, fighting for him so he didn’t have to.
Her compassion gave him peace and gave all of us memories we’ll treasure forever.

When our family was faced with the overwhelming challenge of navigating the Skilled Nursing Facility system for our mother, we were completely lost. The stress of watching someone you love decline while also trying to protect their rights, preserve family assets, and honor their wishes felt insurmountable until Mardol stepped in.
From the moment she began working with us, Mardol was a lifeline. She fiercely advocated for our mother's resident rights when we didn’t even know what those rights were. Her deep knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare helped us keep our family home, something we thought we might have to sacrifice. She worked with our mother to create a Living Will that clearly reflected her end-of-life wishes, something our mother found empowering and comforting.
When the time came, Mardol ensured that hospice was called in and coordinated everything so smoothly that we were able to focus on simply being with our mother. She helped us honor her wish to pass at home, peacefully, and without the clinical chaos we feared. We didn’t have to worry about a thing—she took care of it all with compassion, precision, and grace.
Mardol not only helped our mother find dignity in her final days but also helped our family grieve without being overwhelmed by red tape, paperwork, and confusion. We have no idea where we would have been without her help. She was a blessing in one of the hardest times of our lives.
